The Circle Cinema Black Film Council Presents: Brave New World Cosplay Contest

Calling all superheroes! To celebrate the release of "Captain America: Brave New World," fans of all ages are encouraged to dress as their favorite superheroes for a free cosplay event and costume contest at Circle Cinema on Saturday, February 15.

The contest begins at 6:30 p.m. in the theater lobby, taking place between two screenings of "Captain America: Brave New World" at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.. While the costume event is free, regular ticket prices apply for screenings ($12 for adults, $7 for kids).

Attendees can enjoy light refreshments and themed drinks for adults and children, and local comic book vendors will be on hand to showcase Captain America and other superhero comics.

The event will be hosted by Hank Byrd, a well-known local filmmaker and member of the Black Film Council.

About the Film: Anthony Mackie returns as the high-flying hero Sam Wilson, who's officially taken up the mantle of Captain America. After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.
