"Death Becomes Her" follows the darkly comedic tale of Madeline Ashton, a narcissistic and fading actress, and Helen Sharp, a meek aspiring writer, whose rivalry spans decades. In 1978, Madeline seduces Helen’s fiancé, renowned plastic surgeon Ernest Menville, leading to a tumultuous marriage. Seven years later, Helen is committed to a psychiatric hospital, obsessing over revenge against Madeline. Another seven years pass, and Madeline and Ernest live miserably in Beverly Hills. Madeline, desperate to regain her youth, meets Lisle Von Rhuman, a mysterious socialite who offers her a potion that promises eternal life and youth. Madeline drinks the potion, reversing her aging process and restoring her beauty, but with strict warnings about the potion’s consequences.
