Clemency with Okie Film Night and Sisters of Cinema

Okie Film Night presented by Experience Tulsa and Sisters of Cinema are collaborating for a special screening in September. See Tulsa’s own Alfre Woodward in the powerful prison drama “Clemency.”

After the film, Dylan Goforth, Executive Editor of The Frontier, will join Sisters of Cinema host Julia Holeman to lead attendees in a discussion about capital punishment. The Frontier’s mission is to produce fearless, independent journalism with impact.

About the film: As she prepares to execute another inmate, Bernadine (Alfre Woodard) must confront the psychological and emotional demons her job creates, ultimately connecting her to the man she is sanctioned to kill.
